Stratford-upon-Avon is a traditional market town in the Midlands region - the 'Heart of England'. Its ancient buildings and
wide variety of excellent shops create a unique blend of character
and atmosphere. There are fine riverside gardens, old pubs,
antique shops and museums. For evening entertainment there
are three major theatres, a multi-screen cinema, restaurants,
discotheques and night-clubs. There are facilities for a large
number of sports, such as swimming, tennis, golf and horse-riding,
and for other leisure interests and activities - for example aerobics,
step-dancing, cookery, flower-arranging, and art.
